Peak Season

Dear Customers,

We are approaching the traditional busy season associated with the start of the school year.

We therefore recommend using one of the convenient ways to purchase a subscription:

• The Virtual Pilsen Card app, where customers can choose either their mobile phone or a bank card as their identifier for the pass. You can top up your pass for both the Pilsen zone and outer zones throughout the Pilsen Region, and once payment is complete, your pass will be automatically activated within 1 hours. You can also apply for a fare discount through the app.
• The Pilsen Card e-shop, where you can top up your Pilsen Card subscription (without validation on the bus).After payment, the subscription to 1 hours will be automatically activated. You can also submit an online application for a new Pilsen Card or request a fare discount. Simply register, link, and authorize your card to your account, and you can take full advantage of the e-shop’s features. You can also top up your electronic wallet with transit points for subsequent validation on public transit vehicles.

Both systems are very simple—there’s no need to worry about anything. You can find all the information and instructions on the Pilsen Card website.

For those of you who need to visit the customer service center immediately (e.g., to replace your Pilsen Card, etc.), we recommend using the “No-Wait Office” service and scheduling an appointment in advance for a specific date and time. Another option is to visit one of our other sales locations.

Important Information:

Children up to and including15 (until the day before their 15th birthday) may travel for free within the Pilsen zone, provided they hold a Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card with activated eligibility for free transportation, which is always valid either until the Pilsen Card’s expiration date or until their 15th birthday.

Students aged 15 to 18:

• If they wish to travel on a pass, they do not need to provide proof of enrollment. The discount profile is activated upon issuance of the Pilsen Card by the day before their 18th birthday, or they can apply for it online.
• If they purchase a discounted ticket, they must present an ID (ID card, passport) or a Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card with an activated discount profile during a ticket inspection.

• They can apply for a discount profile online at the Pilsen Card e-shop or in the Virtual Pilsen Card app.

Students aged 18 to 26:

• If they wish to travel using a pass, they must submit proof of enrollment each school year in one of the following ways: by sending an electronic confirmation from the school (ask about this option at your school), by presenting an ISIC card, a valid orange student ID card, or the PMDP “Confirmation of Enrollment” form (available for download on the Pilsen Card website), and they must have this discount activated on their Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card. They can apply for the discount profile online at the Pilsenská karta e-shop or in the Virtual Pilsenská karta app. IMPORTANT! When traveling in outer zones, students aged 18 and older are required to present an ISIC card or an orange student ID during ticket inspections.
• If they purchase a discounted ticket, they must present their ISIC card or Student ID during a ticket inspection.

Keep an eye on the validity of your Pilsen Card, and as the expiration date approaches, request a replacement in a timely manner—ideally at least 1 month in advance. Alternatively, you can switch to the Virtual Pilsen Card app.
