Child 6–15* years old / Zone 001 Pilsen

* Until the day before their 15th birthday.

Children under 15 are entitled to free transport if they hold a Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card with an activated free fare. Otherwise, they must purchase individual discounted tickets. Free transport must be activated on the Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card.

Note:

Young people aged 15-18 are entitled to a discounted subscription based on their age, so they do not need to submit proof of study. The discount will be activated on the Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card upon presentation of an ID card (or other proof of identity, such as a birth certificate).

Note:

Students aged 18–26 (from their 18th to 26th birthday) are entitled to discounted travel passes upon presentation of proof of study (PMDP form, ISIC card, or student card issued by the Ministry of Transport). The discount must be activated on a Pilsenská or Virtuální Pilsenská card at any PMDP sales point.

Some secondary schools, vocational schools, and universities in the Pilsen Region send proof of study electronically. We recommend that you check directly with your school to see if they offer this option. If your school does not allow electronic confirmation of study to be uploaded, you will need to bring a confirmed PMDP confirmation of study form (downloadable from the Pilsenská karta website), ISIC card, or orange student ID card.

Once the discount on the Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card is active, you can purchase a discounted subscription for the Pilsen zone.

Students of the University of West Bohemia must request an electronic confirmation of study in their Orion account in the account management section. More information is available on the ZČU website.

Seniors aged 65 and over are entitled to free transport upon presentation of their ID card during transport. Another option is to present a Pilsenská or Virtuální Pilsenská card with an activated free fare.

Note:

Any holder of a Pilsen Card, Virtual Pilsen Card, or Pilsen Mini Card can use a full-price 365-day subscription for a dog. The subscription is transferable, so anyone can travel with the dog, and it can be recharged under the "transferable" profile.

The discounted 365-day subscription for dogs can be used by passengers who are entitled to free transport (children under 15, seniors over 65, and blood donors). It can only be activated on a Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card and is tied to the transport of a dog with a specific person.

Note:

Anyone can use the subscription, but only one person can travel on it at a time. When transferring a coupon in the VPK app to another identifier, you should expect a delay of up to one hour.

Free transport in zone 001 Pilsen 

  • children under 6 years of age (until they reach 6 years of age)
  • children aged 6 to 15 (until reaching the age of 15), if they have activated their entitlement on the Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card
  • children attending kindergarten and teaching staff of that school, if they are traveling together in a group of at least 5 children (all children in the group and all accompanying persons from the kindergarten are entitled to free transport if they present a teaching staff ID card, confirmation from the kindergarten, or other credible documentation)
  • Holders of a ZTP card, including one dog, if traveling with the cardholder (proof of free transport can be provided on the basis of a Pilsen or Virtual Pilsen card, but a ZTP card alone is also sufficient)
  • Holders of a ZTP/P card, including their companion or guide dog, if transported at the same time as the cardholder, including a wheelchair (proof of free transport can be provided on the basis of a Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card, but a ZTP/P card alone is also sufficient)
  • seniors over 65 years of age (proof of free transport can be provided on the basis of a Pilsen or Virtual Pilsen card, but an identity document, such as an ID card, is also sufficient)
  • Holders of at least a Gold Janský Plaque who have activated their entitlement to free transport on their Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card

Passengers aged 15 to 18 years of age prove their entitlement to a fare discount with an officially issued valid personal identification document (e.g., ID card) that contains a photograph or digital image, first and last name, and date of birth. Eligibility can also be proven with a student ID card containing the information required by current legislation, which is mutually recognized by carriers, or a valid ISIC student ID card. The cards referred to in the previous sentence may also be used to prove eligibility for a discount even if they are no longer valid (i.e., a student card confirmed by the school for one of the previous school years or an ISIC card without a current validation stamp), provided that the photograph on the card corresponds to the passenger's current appearance. In this case, it is not the validity of the card itself that is decisive, but the information contained therein (first name, last name, age, and photo).

  • persons who have reached the age of 80 and are also holders of a Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card and holders of a card issued by the Central Office of the Czech Association of Freedom Fighters (ČSBS), the Confederation of Political Prisoners of the Czech Republic (KPV) or the Association of Former Political Prisoners (SBPV), provided that the Card entitles the holder to free transport.

Free transport in the outer zone on PMDP lines to Starý Plzenec

In addition to the above categories of passengers, the following are entitled to free transport on lines to Starý Plzenec:

  • holders of a ZTP card, including one dog, if traveling with the cardholder,
  • ZTP/P card holders, including their guide or one dog, if traveling with the card holder, including a wheelchair
  • persons who have reached the age of 65
  • Holders of a Pilsen or Virtual Pilsen card who hold at least a Gold Medal (plaque) from Prof. MUDr. Jan Janský, provided that this entitlement arises upon activation on the Pilsen or Virtual Pilsen card
