Tourist ticket

How does it work?

  • This is a type of Pilsen Card designed primarily for tourists.
  • As an alternative, you can use the Virtual Pilsen Card app, where you can purchase a more affordable subscription and avoid the hassle of returning a physical card. 
  • The tourist ticket can be used when traveling in Zone 001 (Pilsen) and only on PMDP vehicles. The ticket is refundable and is issued in exchange for a refundable deposit of 100 CZK. It can be purchased at PMDP Customer Service Centers (Denisovo nábřeží 12 and Klatovská 12) or at the Pilsen City Information Center (Náměstí republiky 41 and Paluba Hamburk), where you can also return it. You can check the opening hours at the sales locations.
  • You can load the Tourist Ticket with a pass for Zone 001 (Pilsen) valid for 1–17 days or with electronic money of your choice up to 3,500 CZKs.
  • If, when returning the ticket, you have an active pass valid for more than one day or a balance in your e-wallet, the amount will be refunded to you free of charge.

There are two types of passes—the standard pass and the discounted pass, which offer a discount of 50%.

Who is eligible for the discounted subscription?

  • Children aged 6 to 15, provided they are not eligible for free transportation under the SPP (during a ticket inspection, you must present, along with the tourist pass, an identification card showing your date of birth and a photo [e.g., student ID, school ID]),
  • persons aged 15 to 18 (during a fare inspection, you must present a valid ID—such as an ID card or passport—along with your ticket, or a Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card with an activated entitlement),
  • students aged 18 to 26 (during a fare inspection, a valid student ID, a valid ISIC student card, a Pilsen Card, or a Virtual Pilsen Card with activated eligibility must be presented along with the ticket),
  • disability pensioners with a Grade III disability aged 65 (during a fare inspection, you must present a confirmation with a QR code issued by the Czech Social Security Administration along with your ticket).

Eligibility for a discounted ticket must be verified both when purchasing the Tourist Ticket and during a fare inspection on board the train.
