A trolleybus celebration took place in Pilsen on Saturday

On Saturday, 20 June, celebrations were held at the DEPO2015 complex to mark the 90th anniversary of Škoda trolleybus production and the 85th anniversary of trolleybus service in Pilsen.
 
Despite the very hot weather, more than 2 500 visitors attended the event. Among the attractions were an exhibition of historic and active trolleybuses, a demonstration of the unique 24-meter-long Škoda–Solaris battery-powered trolleybus, a presentation of the recently restored historic Jelcz trailer, an exhibition of Škoda Electric’s trolleybus fleet, a demonstration of the dynamic dispatch center, and test drives of the 15 Tr trolleybus model.
 
The Škoda 9 Tr trolleybuses, on loan from České Budějovice, Pardubice, and Teplice, were a particular hit; they transported visitors on a special sightseeing route throughout the day.
