Trolleybus celebrations 2026

This year, together with Škoda Electric, a member of the Škoda Group, we will celebrate two significant anniversaries—90 years of production and 85 years of trolleybus operation in Pilsen.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 20, from 10 to 17 at the DEPO2015 complex. Mark this date on your calendars and come celebrate these anniversaries with us.

We will gradually add detailed information about the event here, or you can join the event on PMDP’s Facebook page right away so you don’t miss a thing.

You can look forward to a rich all-day program full of historic and operational trolleybuses, demonstrations of modern technologies, contests for children and adults, and a new limited edition of commemorative items.

Main Program

10:00 – Opening of the venue

10:15 – official opening

10:15 – start of historic trolleybus rides

11:00 – 12:00 – live broadcast by Český rozhlas Pilsen and interviews with interesting guests

13:00 – 16:00 – interviews with invited guests, announcement of contest winners, and award ceremony

17:00 – End of the event at DEPO2015

17:15 – final rides on historic trolleybuses

21:00 – Evening parade of historic trolleybuses

Rides on historic trolleybuses

Special sightseeing route

Historical trolleybuses that you don’t normally see in Pilsen will be deployed on this route. They will run along the route DEPO2015 – Karlov Depot – Gothova – Main Station – DEPO2015 at 10-minute intervals.

The first departure from DEPO2015 will be at 10:15, and the last (on this route) at 16:35.

Trolleybuses will also depart from DEPO2015 at 16:45, 16:55, 17:05, 17:10, and 17:15, following the route DEPO2015 – U Radbuzy – Prokopova – Anglické nábřeží – Main Station.

Transportation on this line will be free all day.

Evening Rides

A convoy of five historic trolleybuses will set out for the evening ride.

The evening ride will start at 21:30 on Černická Street near the DEPO2015 complex, and we expect it to end at 22:45.

Two photo stops are also planned along the route (in Božkov and at Doubravka).

Due to the limited capacity of the historic vehicles, it will be necessary to purchase a ticket for this ride. We will inform you well in advance of when ticket sales begin.

The program is still being finalized, so some parts or times may still change.
