Start the school year without queues

Dear customers,

The traditional rush period associated with the start of the school year is upon us.

We therefore recommend using one of the convenient ways to purchase a subscription:

• The Virtual Pilsen Card application, where customers can choose either their mobile phone or bank card as their identifier for the subscription. The subscription can be topped up for both the Pilsen zone and the outer zones throughout the Pilsen Region, and after payment, the subscription is automatically activated within 1 hour. You can also apply for a fare discount in the app.
• The Pilsen Card e-shop, where you can top up your Pilsen Card subscription, now without validation in the vehicle. After payment, the subscription is automatically activated within 1 hour. It is also possible to submit an online application for a new Pilsen Card or to apply for a fare discount. Simply register, assign and authorize your card to your account, and you can take full advantage of the e-shop's functionality. It is still possible to top up your electronic wallet with subsequent validation on public transport.

Both systems are very simple, so there is nothing to worry about. All information and instructions can be found on the Pilsen Card website.

For those of you who need to visit the customer center urgently (e.g., to replace your Pilsen Card, etc.), we recommend using the No Waiting Office and making an appointment in advance for a specific date and time. Another option is to use other points of sale.

Important information:

Children under 15 (until the day before their 15th birthday) can travel free of charge in the Pilsen zone, provided they have a Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card with an activated entitlement to free transport, which is always activated either until the end of the Pilsen Card's validity or until their 15th birthday.

Pupils and students aged 15 to 18:

• If they want to travel on a prepaid ticket, they do not need to provide proof of study. The discount profile is activated when the Pilsen Card is issued before their 18th birthday, or they can apply for it online.
• If they purchase a discounted ticket, they must present proof of identity (ID card, passport) or a Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card with an activated discount profile during an inspection.
  • They can apply for a discount profile online at the Pilsen Card e-shop or in the Virtual Pilsen Card app.

Students aged 18 to 26:

• If they want to travel on a prepaid ticket, they must submit confirmation of their studies each school year in one of the following ways: by sending an electronic confirmation from the school (ask about this option at your school), by presenting an ISIC card, a valid orange student card, or the PMDP "Confirmation of Study" form (downloadable from the Pilsenská karta website), and they must have this discount activated on their Pilsenská karta or Virtuální Pilsenská karta. They can apply for a discount profile online at the Pilsen Card e-shop or in the Virtual Pilsen Card app. PLEASE NOTE! If traveling in outer zones, persons aged 18 and over are required to have an ISIC card or orange Student ID card when asked for verification.
• If they purchase a discounted ticket in the Pilsen zone, they must present their Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card, ISIC card, or student ID card during inspection. In outer zones, only an ISIC card or student ID card can be used for identification.

 Keep track of the validity of your Pilsen Card and, when the expiration date is approaching, request a replacement in good time (at least 1 month in advance).
