Some secondary schools, vocational schools, and universities in the Pilsen Region send confirmation of study electronically. We recommend that you check directly with your school to see if they offer this option. If your school does not allow electronic confirmation of study to be uploaded, you will need to provide a confirmed PMDP confirmation of study form (downloadable from the Pilsen Card website), an ISIC card, or an orange student card.

Once the discount on your Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card is active, you can purchase a discounted ticket for the Pilsen zone.

  • children attending kindergarten and teaching staff of that kindergarten, if they are traveling together in a group of at least 5 children (all children in the group and all accompanying persons from the kindergarten are entitled to free transport if they present a teaching staff ID card, confirmation from the kindergarten, or other credible documentation)
  • ZTP card holders, including one dog, if traveling with the card holder
  • Holders of a ZTP/P card, including their guide or guide dog, if traveling with the cardholder, including a wheelchair.
  • seniors over 65 years of age (proof of free transport can be provided on the basis of a Pilsen or Virtual Pilsen card, but an identity document, such as an ID card, is also sufficient)

Eligibility can also be proven with a student ID card containing the information required by current legislation, which is mutually recognized by carriers, or a valid ISIC student card. The cards referred to in the previous sentence may also be used to prove eligibility for a discount even if they are no longer valid (i.e., a student card confirmed by the school for one of the previous school years or an ISIC card without a current validation stamp), provided that the photograph on the card corresponds to the passenger's current appearance. In this case, it is not the validity of the card itself that is decisive, but the information contained therein (first name, last name, age, and photo).

Free transport in the outer zone

  • children under 6 years of age (until they reach 6 years of age),
  • guide for ZTP/P card holders or guide dogs, if transported at the same time as the card holder (according to § 36 of Act No. 329/2011 Coll. on the provision of benefits to persons with disabilities and on amendments to related laws),
  • persons who have reached the age of 80 and are also holders of a Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card and holders of a card issued by the Central Office of the Czech Association of Freedom Fighters (ČSBS), the Confederation of Political Prisoners of the Czech Republic (KPV) or the Association of Former Political Prisoners (SBPV), provided that the Card entitles the holder to free transport.

Free transport in the outer zone on PMDP lines to Starý Plzenec

In addition to the above categories of passengers, the following are entitled to free transport on lines to Starý Plzenec:

  • holders of a ZTP card, including one dog, if traveling with the cardholder,
  • ZTP/P card holders, including their guide or one dog, if traveling with the card holder, including a wheelchair
  • persons who have reached the age of 65
  • Holders of a Pilsen or Virtual Pilsen card who are holders of at least a Gold Medal (plaque) of Prof. MUDr. Jan Janský, provided that this entitlement arises upon activation on the Pilsen or Virtual Pilsen card

The discount is activated on the Pilsen Card or Virtual Pilsen Card for a maximum of 125 days upon presentation of a confirmation from the employment office regarding the receipt of emergency benefits.

You can apply for PK/VPK entitlement at selected points of sale, at the Pilsen Card e-shop, or in the Virtual Pilsen Card app.

Entitlement to a discounted ticket is proven in the vehicle by a card issued by the institution being visited.


How it works

  • You can use transfer tickets with all carriers participating in the Integrated Transport System of the Pilsen Region within its time and zone validity.
  • If you purchase an integrated ticket from another carrier and the ticket is also valid in zone 001 Pilsen, you can transfer to public transport and only need to check the validity of the ticket.
  • Non-transferable paper tickets can only be used on PMDP vehicles within a single connection (up to the final stop).
 
Transfer tickets can be purchased:
  • at a card machine on public transport, where you can select a specific ticket according to the required zone, price, and passenger category,
  • in the Virtual Pilsen Card mobile app,
  • with the Pilsen Card, Pilsen Mini, Tourist Ticket, or partner cards,
  • by sending an SMS ticket (you can only board public transport with a valid SMS ticket that has already been received).
  • or at the main ČD railway station in Pilsen, where you can purchase transfer tickets for the Pilsen zone (including all-day tickets).
