After you buy your public transportation pass or top up your e-wallet at the Pilsen Card e-shop, simply tap your Pilsen Card against the on-board terminal when you take your first trip by public transportation to complete your transaction.

Allow approximately two hours for your Pilsen Card purchase to be registered in the system.

On-board validation can only be used for new Pilsen Cards issued after March 2015 (these cards have portrait orientation and a bar code). Original Pilsen Card holders must validate their cards at a Česká Spořitelna ATM or at the PMDP Customer Service Centre.

To validate your Pilsen Card on board, use a terminal that accepts card payments (terminals with colour screens). The doors next to the terminal are marked with the standard pictogram for contactless payments, usually the first or second set of doors away from the driver (except bidirectional trams).
